Hello I am Sammie. I work full time as a Sister on the Acute floor at the Royal Sussex County. I fell into beach cleaning during the Covid pandemic. It quickly became an everyday obsession which helps me feel grounded and appreciate how lucky I am to leave near the sea. Once you start looking, the amount of litter on our beaches is quite shocking! I try and save what I can from landfill by creating pieces of art with the plastic I find. I love finding small toys and purple is the hardest colour to find. I HATE finding drink bottles people have stuffed full of pebbles (why?) and dog poo bags!
