Robert Hill

I have lived in and around Brighton since the early 90’s. Back in the day I was one of Brighton’s gay pub landlords running the Queens Head. I have always painted and drawn for a hobby since I was a child. I have mainly painted pet portraits, animals, wildlife, and other country scenes.

Then came the dreaded lockdown. Where like others I was confined to my home for weeks. After showing some of my work to my gay friends and they said. “Why don’t you do more of this type.” So, I took to painting and drawing work that would be appreciated by the gay community, namely naked men. These are just some of my works. They are acrylic on canvas, but I also work in other mediums and with a bit more erotic subject. This has been a joy for me, and I am looking forward to many more paintings.
