Claire Woolhead

Claire Woolhead is a UK-based artist specializing in original artwork on thin sheet metal, using high-quality automotive paints. Designed for custom show cars, these UV-resistant paints offer a vast range of colors, depth, and intricate detail, bringing each piece to life under bright light. This unique approach sets her work apart, blending technical expertise with artistic expression.

Previously, Claire owned 72 Customs, a classic restoration and custom paintwork business for cars and motorbikes. It was through this venture that she deepened her knowledge of automotive paints, which now play a central role in her artistic practice. Beyond painting, she also creates furniture and sculptures from various scrap parts, further showcasing her passion for craftsmanship and reinvention.

Inspired by science, the mind’s potential, nature, and the mysteries of life, Claire’s work captures the intricate beauty of the universe. However, her inspiration comes from many sources, and each piece reflects a deeply personal journey.

For Claire, art is a powerful form of escapism—an experience she immerses herself in and then shares with others. She believes her purpose is to bring happiness, positively impact those around her, and contribute to the world in a meaningful way. Through her art, she continues to do just that.
