Ann Pybus

Ann Pybus, known artistically as Pybus, is a dynamic artist based in Brighton, England, whose work is characterised by a vibrant blend of colour, texture, and innovative materials. Originally from Ireland, Ann’s artistic journey is rooted in a diverse professional background that spans fashion, interior design, architecture, and property development. Ann’s career began in the fashion industry, in the buying and merchandising departments for the renowned Arcadia group. This foundation in aesthetics and consumer engagement paved the way for her transition into interior design ,architecture and property development, areas where she honed her eye for beauty and functionality. Throughout her career, Ann has developed a keen understanding of space and form, which seamlessly translates into her artwork. Ann’s artistic practice evolved as she began producing artwork to enhance the newly restored properties in France and the UK, often creating pieces that were sold alongside the homes or commissioned by clients who were inspired by her work. Each piece she creates serves not only as a decorative element but also as a narrative that complements the spaces they inhabit. In her latest collection, Ann explores the innovative use of recycled polystyrene and acrylic paints. This medium allows her to achieve a rich depth of
colour and a sensual texture, transforming each artwork into a tactile experience. By combining bold colours with graphic elements, she creates statement pieces that inject a sense of adventure and vibrancy into any space.
