What inspired the artist to create this piece?
Much of my art is inspired by German expressionism and art deco, this one was very much inspired by my interpretation of those two styles, the awkwardness of the buildings you can see within German Expressionist woodcuts and the geometry of Art Deco. To me the drawing is feeling awkward and directionless, reaching crossroads and not knowing which path to take.
