Simon Boyd grew up in North London and studied Fine Art at Middlesex University in Wood Green, formerly the historic Hornsey Art School. During his time there, he specialised in painting and multimedia, developing the foundations of his artistic practice.
In 2007, Simon relocated to central Argentina, where he now works as a landscape painter, primarily in oils. His work reflects a deep connection to his British heritage. At the same time, it reveals a profound sensitivity to the Argentine landscapes that surround him. This balance between two worlds gives his art a distinctive voice, rooted in memory yet shaped by new horizons.
Over the years, Simon’s paintings have been widely exhibited and are now held in private collections across the world. His career includes major solo exhibitions in the UK, most notably a prominent show at the Anteros Arts Foundation in Norwich. In addition, he has presented a series of solo and group exhibitions throughout Argentina, further strengthening his international presence.
Through his work, Simon continues to explore the dialogue between place, memory, and identity. His landscapes invite viewers to pause, reflect, and connect with the subtle power of nature.
