Jack Lynn is an experienced photographer and film editor based in Brighton. His passion for visual storytelling began early in life. Encouraged by creatively eccentric parents, he spent hours in the spare room making simple stop-start animations. These early experiments sparked a fascination with image-making that has stayed with him ever since.

After completing a B.A. (Hons) in Moving Image at the University of Brighton, Jack moved to London. There, he joined the advertising department at Framestore. During this time, he helped edit projects for major clients such as Jo Malone, Gucci, and the Tate Galleries. This work allowed him to develop a sharp technical eye and a strong understanding of commercial production.

In 2015, Jack began photographing for GScene, an LGBT+ magazine covering world news, local events, and the vibrant, inclusive culture of Brighton & Hove. His images celebrate the community with warmth and authenticity. They also reveal his ongoing fascination with human relationships and the subtle details that shape them.

Jack’s interest in nature runs alongside his focus on people. He often looks for moments where the two intersect, creating photographs that feel both intimate and expansive. As a result, his work carries a sense of quiet reflection as well as connection.

In July 2020, Jack returned to the Fishslab Gallery in Whitstable for Breathing Space, a joint exhibition with local artists. The show marked an important moment in his practice. It allowed him to share new work while reconnecting with a creative community that has supported him throughout his career.
