Ian Buchanan

Based in Brighton, Ian Buchanan is both a builder and an artist. From a young age, they were captivated by boats and the sea, using whatever materials were available to create. As their life progressed, their focus expanded to include architecture, arts, and interior/exterior design, which became central to their creative journey.

In his spare time, Ian enjoys the sea, travelling, and exploring cultural experiences. Nature and a diverse array of artists from around the world—working in paint, clay, iron, and timber—serve as constant sources of inspiration. For them, all art carries emotion.

Ian enjoys experimenting with different styles and approaches to painting, seeing art as a process similar to cooking a great meal for friends—using what’s at hand to create something special for everyone to enjoy. Their mission is simple: to provoke emotion and thought through their work.
