In the past we used to transport goods by horse. Then came the Amazon ages with its massive vessels that would bring to the westeners all the little toys, trinkets, gadgets and thingies that we needed to survive in our modern day to day lives and that were dilligently manufactured by our eastern counterparts, other human beings too busy with their jobs to enjoy life.

Soon after that, we realised we could get the best of the two worlds (not the East and the West, heavens forbid, those regions would be forever separated by impenetrable cultural barriers, threats of war and actual, physical dividing walls), blending natural beings and artificial constructs to create something that is fit for purpose.

The megacorporations behind worldwide shipping and fulfilment decided it would be a great idea to create the most fuel efficient vessel to date. One that doesn’t actually need refueling, but feeding. It can travel the seas unimpeded without a drop of bunker oil, as it feeds on plankton and microplastics from the ocean as it swims across it.
