We realise our potential impact on the environment by running an independent business. This is why, from the outset, The Brighton Box has been and will remain to be conscious of our waste generated. Any waste that cannot be recycled is considered for any other purposes, resulting in waste disposal being the last resort.
We recycle waste where local facilities allow, and encourage others to recycle also and to assist our promotion of environmental awareness and the importance to recycle, The Brighton Box has registered with a number of organisations including Recycle4Charity, where The Brighton Box acts as a designated recycling depot for used ink cartridges. Most ink cartridges represent a value, and when qualifying ink cartridges are collected, the appropriate value is then donated to a charity. In this instance, we have opted to support The Sussex Beacon!
We believe that our efforts have a positive impact on the environment and minimise our contribution to global warming.
The Brighton Box understands that our behaviours and actions have the potential to effect on the environment. We are committed to reducing our impact at all possible opportunities.
We take every effort to minimise our electrical consumption at our locations, purchasing low energy consumption alternatives to replace high energy consuming equipment and becoming ever-more efficient of utilising such equipment in ecological ways.
We pride ourselves in putting environmental and sustainability requirements ahead of our funding needs.
We appreciate our access to clean and fresh water, and are committed to ensuring that we utilise this facility with great dignity. We will never decline the request of provision of water without reasonable cause.
We promise that our water usage is as efficient as possible and all utilities are in a safe working order.
The Brighton Box is continuously developing our climate resilience. We periodically review our position and incorporate feasible practices into our business in order to adapt and strengthen our ability to anticipate, prepare for, and respond to hazardous events, trends, or disturbances related to climate.
By improving our climate resilience, we are better suited to cope with these risks that we may face in the future.
We also strongly believe that small businesses have a responsibility to support the local area and communities. The Brighton Box is open to local and/or community events. To request our input, please speak to a member of our team or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Brighton Box will consider all opportunities that arise and our ability to contribute or participate.
The Brighton Box will continue to raise funds for charity at any given opportunity. We have positive relationships with other small businesses and charity leads within the Brighton & Hove area and frequently engage with other parties to discuss opportunities where we can expand our input.
The Brighton Box currently provides a percentage of the sale of qualifying products to charity and provides use of the gallery space to host charity events. We have recently registered as a local collection point to recycle expired ink cartridges which result in financial donations to The Sussex Beacon by Recycle4Charity.
We are continuously seeking possibilities to increase our fundraising efforts and support charities, If you would like the support from The Brighton Box in an event or fundraising scheme of which you are planning, then please contact us and we shall discuss if we are able to provide support.
